1. India and New Zealand signed a deal that opens the door for direct flights between the two countries that could boost tourism and trade sectors. This deal was signed by New Zealand Transport Minister Simon Bridges with Sanjeev Balyan, India’s Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmer Welfare.
भारत और न्यूजीलैंड ने दोनों देशों के बीच सीधी उड़ान सेवा के लिये एक समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किये। इससे पर्यटन और व्यापार को बढ़ावा मिलेगा। न्यूजीलैंड के परिवहन मंत्री सिमोन ब्रिज और भारत के कृषि एवं किसान कल्याण राज्यमंत्री संजीव बालयान ने इस समझोते पर हस्ताक्षर किए ।

3. Standard Chartered said that the Indian economy is expected to clock a GDP growth of 7.4 per cent in current fiscal 2016-17.

4. Balraj Madhok, an activist of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and former president of the Bharatiya Jan Sangh (BJS) died. He was 96.
राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ (आरएसएस) के वयोवृद्ध कार्यकर्ता एवं भारतीय जनता संघ (बीजेएस) के पूर्व अध्यक्ष बलराज मधोक का निधन हो गया। वह 96 वर्ष के थे।
5. ‘Kalvari’, the first of the Scorpene class submarines, being built at the Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd Mumbai (MDL), went to sea for the first time. The submarine sailed out at about 1000 hrs under its own propulsion for the first sea trial, off the Mumbai coast.
स्कॉर्पियन श्रेणी की पहली पनडुब्बी ‘कलवरी’ को पहली बार समुद्र में उतारा गया। इस पनडुब्बी को मझगांव डॉक शिपबिल्डर्स लिमिटेड मुंबई (एमडीएल) में बनाया गया है। अपने पहली समुद्री परीक्षण के दौरान पनडुब्बी मुंबई तट से दूर अपनी संचालक शक्ति (प्रोपल्शन) के जरिए करीब 1000 घंटे तक समुद्र में तैरती रही।
6. Digital healthcare platform Practo appointed Manish Dugar as its Global CFO. Dugar will be responsible for the leadership of Practo’s financial legal and regulatory operations.

8. Malaysian Badminton player Lee Chong Wei won his second Badminton Asia Championship title. Chong Wei defeated World No.1 Chen Long of China in the final match.
मलेशिया के बैडमिंटन खिलाड़ी ली चोंग वेई ने अपना दूसरा बैडमिंटन एशिया चैम्पियनशिप खिताब जीता। ली चोंग ने खिताबी मुकाबले में चीन के विश्व के सर्वोच्च वरीयता प्राप्त खिलाड़ी चेन लोंग को हराया।
9. Philipp Kohlschreiber defeated Dominic Thiem to win his third BMW Open tennis title.
